Revlon Lipstick Review/Swatches!

Hi everyone!
This is another post about some of my favorite drugstore lipsticks, this time from Revlon! I made a YouTube video with swatches, if you haven't seen it, click here!!

In my opinion, Revlon has the best color selection (besides NYX) at the drugstore. They have a great variety of finishes as well, with pearly, matte, and cream finishes in their Super Lustrous line and pearly and cream finishes in their Color Burst line. Overall, the cream finishes are my favorite, followed by the matte lipsticks. I am not a huge fan of the pearl finishes, as I feel they lose some of the pigmentation of the other formulas.

I have been very, very pleased with all but one of lipsticks I have purchased from Revlon. The only one that was a miss for me was from the Color Burst line. Candy Pink was a beautiful bright pink, but the pigmentation was really lacking. I sold that one in my blog sale. Since I took the photos and filmed the video for these lipsticks, I have purchased one more lipstick from the Super Lustrous line in the color Coralberry. I love it, and it actually looks fairly similar to MAC's Everhip.

For me, the pigmentation of these lipsticks is generally good and they wear pretty well for me. The mattes wear the best, but are a little drying and look best with a gloss over the top. If you haven't tried any of these, check out the swatches below. Their color range is fabulous and they have something for everyone!

From left to right: Smoked Peach, Icy Nude, Soft Nude, and Fashion's Night Pout

From left to right: Rosy Nude, Fire and Ice, Mauvy Night, VaVa Violet, Black Cherry

From left to right: Candy Pink, Baby Pink, Paparazzi Pink, Berry Haute

From left to right: Stormy Pink, Pink Pout, Sky Pink, Primrose

Let me know if you have tried these, and if you have, I would love to know what you think. Are there any colors I have to have?

Until next time,

NYX Round Lipsticks Review/Swatches

Hey everyone!

I just did a video about my NYX Round Lipsticks. If you haven't seen it yet, Click here!

These are great, inexpensive lipsticks, and they have a fantastic color selection. However, the finishes do not vary much, with most being either a cream finish or slightly shimmery/pearl finish. NYX does have other finishes available, though. I read recently that they are coming out with a matte line, and they have their super shimmery range as well. Because they are so creamy, the color wear is not great. You do have to reapply often, but they are so darn inexpensive, I don't mind! Also, keep in mind that these are very, very soft lipsticks. I had one break in the tube whilst I was swatching :( So be careful! I also mentioned in my review, though this may sound silly, if you are buying these in store, give them a sniff. I had a lot of trouble with my strawberry milk lipstick smelling like burnt plastic, so I always sniff before I buy if I can. These are available in store at Ulta, and of course can be purchased via NYX.com and CherryCulture.com. These may be available elsewhere in your area, of course!

Without further ado, pictures and swatches!

From left to right: Snow White, Chaos, Castle, and Lala

From left to right: Baby Pink, Harmonica, Power, and Strawberry Milk

There you have it. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Ridiculous Nail Polish Haul

Hey everyone! I wanted to make a blog post with swatches to accompany my latest YouTube video. If you haven't seen it yet, click the link above to go to my channel.

Anyway, over the past few months I have accumulated an absurd number of new nail polishes, hence the last video. Because it was going to take too much time to show swatches in the video, I thought I would take photos and make a blog post to go along with it. All of the photos are taken in natural light, so the colors should be fairly accurate. All are 2 to 3 coats. So let the swatchapalooza begin!

Hey everyone!

So this is a blog, huh? I've heard of them, even read a few before (lolz). Now I have one. Crazy.

So basically, this blog will most likely compliment my YouTube channel, in fact, I made it so that I could have a blog sale! So get ready, friends. It's coming.
